ARTISAN FOR LONG TIME
The Fiammeri family has an ancient relationship with paper. In 1882 they opened the first workshop in Via della Pallacorda, in the center of Rome, where cartons and canvases for bookbinding were sold, but waste paper was also collected for recycling. Thus, a long adventure started and continues today in the new headquarters in the Monteverde district, where mats and frames are created, combining manual skill and precision of cutting-edge machinery. The experience of one hundred and forty years of paper processing was inherited by Francesco Fiammeri who carries on the family tradition with passion and professionalism, distinguishing himself for the creation of hand-decorated mats.
DESIGNING FOR ARTISTS
Collaborating with artists is the work that most involves and pleases us. We study in detail the requests of painters, engravers and photographers. Our experience as craftsmen, machinery and materials, allow us to realize an idea for the best conception of a work. We create arrangements for exhibitions, presentations and archives.
MACHINARY AND MATERIALS
Our machinery and materials are made in Italy. The computerized cutting plotters are produced by Valiani, Italian excellence in this field, whose machinery has been used since 1991, when they were manual. We process Caneva and Canson paper, leading companies in the Italian paper sector. Particularly, the mats are made with pure cellulose, acid-free and neutral pH cards, like the adhesives we choose.
