DECORETED MATS
We create hand-decorated mats which are suitable for engravings and reproductions of old prints, lithographs, watercolors and other subjects. The decorations are made with tempera, gouache, watercolors and with hand-painted and glued marbled papers. Our customers can choose from a wide chromatic range of cards, in various thicknesses and with different colors of the cut.
PHOTO MATS
We cut and assemble photo mats. We use cardboard (Caneva and Canson) ensuring maximum durability, being free of harmful components for the photographic image. The thickness of the mat ranges from 1.3 mm to 3mm. For exhibition arrangements, we offer Poliplat installations without glass, which guarantee the best value for money. For the archiving or presentation of the images, we instead create book-like mats.
ASSEMBLY
The assembly is usually conceived with the customer, with whom we first decide the colors and thicknesses of the mat and then the right shapes and tones of wood. The frames, made with fine solid woods, are cut, smoothed, painted or waxed and finally assembled by hand. The glasses are simple or museum style ones with 70% and 90% transparency, with UVA filters.
We assemble works using other materials, based on customer request.
